What is Meta Muse?
Meta introduced Muse as a personal AI agent built to take action on a user's behalf. Meta says Muse can handle tasks such as sending email, booking travel and turning saved content into practical plans. It is available through the Muse app and can also be used through WhatsApp.
How Muse differs from a chatbot
A chatbot mainly produces information in response to a prompt. An agent is designed to continue through multiple steps, interact with tools and complete an objective. That makes permissions, confirmation steps and activity logs much more important.
How its secure computer works
Meta says Muse runs inside a dedicated Muse Secure VM containing the agent and connected user data. A separate Sentinel agent is intended to control internet access, while sensitive actions such as sending an email or making a purchase require user confirmation.
